Protection from the Sun

A sunny day makes most of us feel good but too much sun can be harmful.  PLEASE try to remember to make sure your child puts on their:

Sun Cream

An 8 hour, high factor, sunscreen cream or lotion of at least SPF-25 should be put on every morning, especially on any skin that may be exposed to the sun during the day.  Remember that children's ears and the backs of their necks need to be protected too.

Hat

It is a good idea for children to wear a hat with a brim, or a flap that covers their ears and the back of their neck (legionnaire hat), as these areas can easily get sun burnt.  However, hats should NOT be worn in the classroom and they should also have the child's name clearly shown inside.
