Primary School PE National Curriculum
The primary school PE national curriculum sets out what pupils need to learn in their PE classes at each stage of learning. The aim of the curriculum is to help children excel in physical activities and inspire them to lead healthy, active lifestyles.
All children are expected to take part in PE and to have PE kits in school every day.
What should my child wear for PE?
Indoor PE - children must wear T-shirts (Preferably in house colour), shorts or leotards. For health and safety reasons, jogging bottoms or leggings are not permitted.
Outdoor PE - children must wear T-shirts or sweatshirts, shorts or jogging bottoms with plimsoles or trainers. Children should be provided with a P.E. bag, clearly marked with their name.
