Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Redbridge Primary School
At Redbridge Primary School, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is our highest priority. We are committed to ensuring that all pupils feel safe, secure and supported in school, at home and within the wider community.
All staff at Redbridge Primary School have a shared responsibility to protect children from harm and to promote their personal safety, wellbeing, confidence and independence. We recognise our duty of care and will always take reasonable action to safeguard the welfare of our pupils.
If a member of staff has cause to be concerned that a child may be experiencing ill treatment, neglect or any form of abuse, the school will follow established child protection procedures and will work closely with Children’s Services and other relevant agencies where appropriate.
A clear Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is available on the link at the top of the page and is reviewed annually by staff and the governing body. This is a policy adopted by the Bridge Trust.
If you have a concern that a child may be at risk of harm, or if a child makes a disclosure (intentionally or unintentionally), please contact one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads as soon as possible.
Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs)
Redbridge Primary School has designated members of staff who oversee safeguarding and child protection across the school. The Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) who oversee safeguarding practice, monitor concerns and liaise with the local authority when necessary are:

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): Faye Robertson, Assistant Head

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead(s): Vicki Davies, ELSA & Anna Payne, Headteacher
The DSL team monitors safeguarding practice, supports staff, and liaises with the local authority when significant concerns arise.
If you are worried that a child is being harmed, is at risk of harm, or if a child makes a disclosure (intentionally or unintentionally), please contact a member of the safeguarding team as quickly as possible.
If you are a young person, parent, carer or member of the public you can contact the Children’s Resource Service on 02380 83 3004 (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm) or 023 8023 3344 (weekends, Bank Holidays and outside of office hours).
